"(...) and laying his hands on each one, he healed them."
On 17 April, Catechesis #3 on the way to WYD2023 took place with the theme: "Arise and be healed" (Lk 4, 38-44).
We were challenged to reflect on the physical and spiritual illnesses present in our society and the stigmas imposed by them. The young people were asked to light a candle as a sign of prayer and presence for all those who suffer from illness.
We reflected on the feeling of empathy for people who need our presence as a form of healing. We also meditated on the physical and spiritual illnesses present in our lives and then prayed together for these situations.
As a challenge, we encouraged the participants to continue to write in the Pilgrim's Diary, cultivating the feeling of gratitude, to make an examination of conscience every day, to read and meditate on the life of St. Benedict Menni and finally to seek the sacrament of reconciliation.
We will be holding the next Catechesis in the third month of May, on 15/05 at 9pm (GMT Lisbon). We shall be waiting for you!
